Fat Cavitation (also known as ultrasound cavitation or ultrasonic cavitation) is a non-surgical procedure that uses ultrasound to attack the fat cells in your troubled areas.

This treatment process is very similar to fat freezing however it’s far less painful, affordable and has little to no downtime.

Each treatment takes around 1 hour and we recommend a course of 6-8 treatments depending on the area for longer-lasting results!

Popular fat cavitation treatment areas in our McMahons Point North Sydney clinic are stomach, love handle, thighs, upper arms and chin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fat cavitation is a fat loss procedure offered at our clinic in McMahons Point, North Sydney. Fat cavitation uses ultrasonic waves to break down fat cells into a liquid form containing glycerol and fatty acids. Your body is then able to reuse the glycerol and remove the fatty acids as a waste.

Fat cavitation is performed by one of our trained staff at our clinic which is conveniently located in McMahons Point, North Sydney. The procedure uses specialised ultrasound equipment, which emits low-frequency sound waves from within the device’s hand piece. The hand piece, called an “ultrasonic probe”, sends low-frequency ultrasonic waves into the skin and fat layer where it causes tiny bubbles to form in fat cells. These bubbles collapse and cause the fat cells to break up into a liquid form.

The entire process is non-invasive with little to no downtime.

Fat cavitation can be used to treat most parts of the body. The most common areas it is used on are:

  • Abdominal area
  • Hips and love handles
  • Buttocks
  • Thighs
  • Upper arms
  • Chin

The liquified fat contains glycerol and free fatty acids which moves into the interstitial fluid (liquid that exists naturally between your cells). Your body is able to extract the glycerol and reuse it for energy. The free fatty acids are send to the lymphatic system where they are then drained to the liver and removed from the body as a waste product.
